Exchange is a crucial part of post purchase experience for your customers and it should be designed in the right way. Letting your customers exchange the product for any other product from your store in case they did not like what they bought is way better than getting them to return it.
Encouraging your customers to exchange instead of returning the orders also requires the right policy (Say, free return labels incase they exchange but a return fee in case they return) and an easy way to make their second choice. We decided to build this exactly keeping all these in mind.
📝 Note: Exchange with other products feature is only available from Grow plan onwards
Follow the below steps to enable Exchange with other:
Navigate to Settings > Logistics
Scroll down to Exchange Rules section and look out for "Exchange with other products option"
📝 Note: Exchange with other products feature is only available from Grow plan onwards so if you are not able to see this option, please ensure you are not on Free plan.
Options within Exchange with other products:
1. Show products of same or lesser value - Use this option when you do not want your customers to exchange with products of value higher than their current one.
📝 Important Note: In case the price of the new product is lesser than the original product, we offer a way to refund the difference amount. You can choose to refund using any of the available modes if required.
2. Show all products - Use this option when you want your customers to exchange for any other product from your store. This also means that they can select products of higher value than their current one.
📝 Important Note: We do not capture any payments from customer in case of any price difference, however, we will show the difference amount on your dashboard and you can capture it manually outside Return Prime if required.
